Why should you take flute lessons..........

I am sending my child to band class, so why do they need private lessons?  This is a question I am sure most parents would ask themselves.  The answer is because chances are your child will not learn to play their instrument at a high level in a band class.  When you have one person teaching 30+ kids it is pretty impossible to give each of them the one on one attention that they need.  Not to say that we don't have amazing band teachers in the valley, we do!  But band teachers are usually specialized on a few instruments and then have a working knowledge of the rest.  So they can teach the basics, but beyond that it is up to the parents to find a qualified instructor to help students achieve a higher level of playing.  Ask your child's band teacher how happy they would be if all of their students studied their instruments in private lessons!

 

So, what I am saying is that the flute is an incredibly beautiful instrument when played well.  So give me a call and try out a few lessons and see what a difference it can make to your playing!
